To create a new Client or Unit, click on the New
Client button on the toolbar and enter the information related
to a Client or Unit as shown in the figure
Note: Since most of the fields given are self-explanatory,
we will explain only the fields (information) which you may not be familiar
with
Status : Choose the status of the client, whether Active,
Inactive or Prospect
Type : Choose whether the client is of Internal type
or External
Business Manager :
Select
the user, who is responsible or managing of business with the client,
from the drop-down list
Hot Notes : Enter
any hot notes about the client, which pop-up with the information that
is entered here.
Hints: Hot
Notes display as a pop-up message windows, when you click on the respective
requirement of the client, within the Requirement
List window. They provide quick information about the client.
For example: If you have entered some important message that you or
other users of HireCraft to be reminded of, they
are displayed within a small window as in figure
.
Notes : Enter
any notes here. Unlike Hot Notes these will not pop-up
Resume Document Type
: Choose
the preferred resume document format, which the client requires.
Depending on the format (Word, PDF or RTF) chosen here, resumes are
automatically converted to respective format when you are sending profiles
of candidate using Send Resumes feature.
Default means word document format.
Outgoing Resume File
Name (Default is empty) : Enter the
name of resume document file, that will be automatically renamed when
the profile(s) of candidate sent to the client.
For Instance: When you are required to rename the resume document of
candidate to a client specified naming convention, you can enter the any
static words in conjunction with
Dynamic Tags. Example: MS-[CandidateName]-[ReqTitle],
where the [CandidateName] is the name of the candidate and [ReqTitle]
is the name of requirement. When the email is sent to the client along
with resume of candidate attached, the document file name is automatically
renamed to as "MS-George Jacob-DotNet Developer.doc"
Job Code Generation
: Specify the format of Job Code with
prefix or suffix and the number that is auto-incremented from, when requirements
of the client are created. >>
Profile: Click
on the profile tab and enter the information about the client, as illustrated
Access Control: click on the access control tab and select
the respective users from the organisational chart or vertical, who should
have access to this client, if no user is selected then the client is
displayed to everyone.
Editing a
Customer
To edit information about a particular customer double click on the customer
name in the tree view of Client Manager form and re-enter the information
in the window that is displayed and press Save
button on the toolbar.
Delete a Customer
To delete a client simply press a Delete
Button on the toolbar. Note if the client is being used in any requirement
you will not be able to delete it. And you get the message in the status
bar as "It is in Use. Unable
to delete..."

for creating new Customer or Unit

for saving any changes made
Shift
+ Delete for deleting the Client
or Unit
